Time to brag a little bit

This week, Lose It! The Center for Weight Loss and Stress Management that I founded and worked together with my associate, Linda Holtz, M.Sc. to develop, booked its 250th client since opening in August of 2009.  Now it isn't that number that I am bragging about.  As a matter of fact, you can ask our Lose It! clients and they will tell you that numbers aren't that important to us (like we aren't as impressed with someone who losses 15 kilo-33 lbs. in 3 months as one who changing habits and ensures long term success) and that is just a random number.  But where I am able to say I am proud of my product is that almost everyone who has come through our program, no matter how much or little weight they may have lost, has made substantial changes that impact their health in a positive way.  And everyone can say something different.  For some, it is weight loss. For some, it is stress reduction.  And for others, it is the ability to function better both physically and cognitively.  Some have told us on their evaluation sheets that their lives have been changed.  Others tell us they have tried everything else and only our method has worked for them.  We all--all of us health and fitness professionals used to just preach about calories and in and calories out.  There is so much more to weight loss.  So, eat right, be fit, reduce your stress, drink plenty of water, get a good night's sleep.  And if you are having a hard time accomplishing all of that, let us help you our.  Sorry to take your time to let you know about our successes, but once in a while, we like to talk about it.  A more informative blog is coming soon!!!!!!
