Fed Up with too much Food

One of our very successful Lose It! clients got back from a trip to the United States and came for an appointment today.  He has lost 20 kilo already and exercises daily.  I know this guy really well and I have never seen him like this.  He was clearly aggitated. He told me that everywhere he went, all anyone is doing is eating, and not just eating but eating a whole big bunch of food.  He really asked me why everyone has decided to kill themselves.  He pointed out that we always worry about the value of every second of life. But when it comes to the single most basic things--eating properly and keeping out weight under control, it seems that everything else--every ramification and  bad result of overeating and being overweight--goes by the wayside.  He was really grossed out by what he saw and this is coming from someone who is still overweight, although he has lost 45 pounds already.  But the lack of mindfulness and the all out obsession with eating really got to him and he wondered how he was ever the guilty party in this also.  Well, a lot of us wonder and wonder when in the world the human race will come to it's senses.  It is time to care about ourselves, our friends, our relatives, and our loved ones.  It is time to take control of our health.  Not doing so costs us our quality of life, our length of day and it cost money too--ours and the the public coffers.  So, why wait!
